Julian Miles Sol is a ceramic artist and the founder of Sol Pottery, a one-person studio based in New York City. Originally from Los Angeles, he came to clay after graduating college and hasn't looked back since, what started as a hobby became a full obsession with the process, the history, and the chemistry behind the work. He makes wheel-thrown vessels by hand, with a focus on large sculptural forms and original glaze formulations developed in-studio. Julian also works in New York's natural wine and hospitality world, and that overlap, slowness, craft, things made with intention, runs through everything he does.
